Thinking of going through another day at the office itself is stressing you out. How do you counter that? Learn to relax in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the office by taking a few minutes off so that you can plunge back into your work with new vigour.....

  • Choose a quiet spot for yourself. If possible, put on some music that will help you relax.
  • Sit down on a chair with your spine erect and your shoulders relaxed. The feet should be placed firmly on the ground. Close your eyes, all the time listening to the music, and feeling at peace.
  • Place the hands on the lap and interlock them.
  • Take a deep breath and then exhale slowly. Do this three times.
  • Tell yourself that you are relaxing every time you breathe out. You are getting rid of the stress while exhaling.
  • Imagine that you are a huge tree whose roots go deep into the earth.
  • Every time you breathe in, you are taking in energy from the earth into yourself.
  • Open your eyes slowly and smile.

Wake up, feeling revitalised.
